Certainly! Here’s a more detailed and user-friendly explanation of the process:

How to Begin Recording and Summarizing with Ghost

To get started with Ghost, follow these simple steps to enable your microphone and ensure clear recording of your conversations:

  1. Accessing the App:

    • Open the Ghost app on your web browser or mobile device.

  2. Microphone Setup:

    • Web Browser:

      • Upon accessing the app, your web browser will automatically prompt you to allow Ghost to use your microphone.

      • Prompt Example: A notification may appear at the top of your browser window saying, “Ghost wants to use your microphone.” Click “Allow” to enable microphone access.

    • Mobile Device:

      • For mobile users, ensure your device’s microphone permissions are enabled for the Ghost app in your device settings.

  3. Ensuring Clear Recording:

    • We recommend using one of our recommended microphones, such as the Hollyland or DJI Microphone, to capture both sides of the conversation clearly.

    • Tips for Optimal Recording:

      • Clip the microphone to your shirt or place it near you, so it can pick up the conversation clearly

  4. Troubleshooting Microphone Access:

    • If you do not see the prompt to enable microphone access:

      • Restart the app/browser and try again.

      • In settings, manually enable microphone access by clicking on the "Enable Microphone Access" button within the Ghost app.

      • Ensure your browser or device settings allow microphone access for the Ghost app.

      • Browser Settings: Check your browser’s privacy settings to confirm that microphone permissions are granted.

      • Device Settings: On mobile, navigate to your device’s settings, find the Ghost app, and enable microphone permissions.

  5. Starting the Recording:

    • Once microphone access is granted, you can start recording by clicking the “Start Recording” button within the app.

    • Ghost will now begin recording the conversation and generating a summary once the recording is completed

  6. Monitoring and Managing the Recording:

    • You can pause or stop the recording at any time using the control buttons.

  7. Reviewing and Saving the Transcript:

    • After the conversation, Ghost will process and generate a detailed summary.

    • You can review, edit, and save the summary for future reference.

By following these steps, you ensure that Ghost captures every detail of your conversations with clarity and precision, allowing you to focus on engaging with your clients without worrying about taking notes.
