Getting Started with Ghost: Microphone Setup and Recording Guide

  1. Setting Up Your Microphone:

    • Powering On the Microphone:

      • Regardless of the microphone model you use, most can be powered on with a single press of a button. Ensure your microphone is fully charged or has fresh batteries for uninterrupted use.

    • Connecting the Receiver:

      • Attach the receiver to the charging port of your device. This is typically the same port used for charging, such as the Lightning port on an iPhone or the USB-C port on an Android device.

      • Ensure the connection is secure and the receiver is properly paired with the microphone.

  2. Launching the Ghost App:

    • With your microphone and receiver setup, open the Ghost app on your device.

    • On the home screen of the app, you will see a prominently displayed “Record” button.

  3. Starting the Recording:

    • Press the “Record” button to begin capturing your conversation.

    • Ghost will start recording all audio spoken into or near your microphone. The app’s intuitive design ensures that high-quality audio is captured seamlessly, allowing you to focus on your conversation without any technical distractions.

  4. Optimizing Audio Quality:

    • For the best audio quality, position the microphone close to you and the participants in the conversation.

  5. Recording Without an External Microphone:

    • If you remove the external microphone, Ghost will still record audio using your device’s built-in microphone.

    • Important Note: While this is convenient, the audio quality may not be as clear, especially in noisy environments. Our AI may have difficulty accurately picking up all spoken words in such settings.

  6. During the Recording:

    • You can monitor the recording process in real-time on the app’s interface.

    • Use the control buttons to pause or stop the recording as needed.

  7. Post-Recording:

    • After you’ve finished recording, Ghost will process the audio and generate a detailed transcript.

    • You can review, edit, and save the transcript for future use, ensuring you have a comprehensive record of your conversation.

Tips for Best Results:

  • Microphone Placement: Ensure the microphone is placed centrally to capture all participants’ voices clearly.

  • Regular Maintenance: Keep your microphone and receiver clean and in good working condition to maintain optimal performance.

By following these steps, you can leverage Ghost to capture high-quality audio recordings effortlessly, allowing you to stay fully engaged in your conversations.
